Rush policies

Terms & Conditions

These website terms apply to Rush accounts, ticket purchases and event attendance. Every event may also publish a versioned set of event-specific ticket and entry conditions, which forms part of the booking shown before payment.

Promoter and contract

Rush events are promoted by Box of Surprises (Pty) Ltd trading as Rush Events, unless an event page identifies a co-producer or promoter. The contract includes the ticket details, these website terms, the Refunds Policy, the House Rules and the active event-specific conditions accepted at checkout.

Accurate information

Patrons must provide accurate account, contact and ticket-holder information. Keep login details, ticket links and QR codes secure and notify support promptly if an account or ticket may have been compromised.

Age, identity and eligibility

Each event page states its age restriction. Original valid government-issued photo identification may be required. A ticket does not override licensing conditions, venue capacity, safety requirements or any lawful admission restriction.

Prices and payment

The checkout displays the ticket price and any disclosed charges before payment. A booking is confirmed only after the payment provider and Rush verify the transaction and the ticket is issued. A failed, reversed or unverified payment does not create a valid admission right.

Tickets and QR codes

Each ticket and QR identity is unique and normally permits one admission to the relevant event and access category. Tickets may not be duplicated, altered, counterfeited or used for unauthorised commercial promotion. Replacement or reissued tickets permanently invalidate the previous QR identity.

Transfers and resale

Approved transfers must use the official Rush transfer process so ownership and QR validity remain traceable. Fraudulent resale, price exploitation, duplicated listings or transfers outside the approved process may result in cancellation where permitted by law.

Event information and changes

Artists, performers, running order, rooms, production, opening times and facilities may change for reasonable operational or safety reasons. A postponement, cancellation or material change is handled under the Refunds Policy, the event-specific conditions and applicable law.

Entry, searches and prohibited items

Entry may be subject to lawful security screening, bag checks, capacity controls and reasonable staff instructions. Weapons, illegal substances, dangerous items, violence, harassment, hate speech, intimidation and conduct that threatens patrons, staff, performers or the venue are prohibited.

Alcohol and conduct

Alcohol is supplied only under the applicable licence and responsible-service rules. Service or admission may be refused to a person who is underage, intoxicated, disorderly or presents a safety risk. Removal for serious misconduct does not automatically create a refund entitlement.

Accessibility and assistance

Patrons should contact Rush before the event regarding reasonable accessibility arrangements, medical devices or support needs. Rush will provide available information honestly but cannot promise facilities that the venue does not offer.

Photography, CCTV and privacy

CCTV may be used for safety, security and incident investigation. Event photography or video may occur under the published notice. Personal information is processed for accounts, ticketing, payment verification, support, event operations, safety, fraud prevention and legal compliance under the Privacy Policy.

Property, risk and liability

Patrons remain responsible for personal belongings and must take reasonable care in crowded nightlife environments. Any limitation of liability applies only to the fullest extent permitted by law and does not exclude liability that may not lawfully be excluded, including prohibited exclusions relating to gross negligence.

Complaints, governing law and mandatory rights

Contact Rush promptly with the order number and relevant evidence so the matter can be investigated. South African law applies. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived, including access to an appropriate regulator, ombud, tribunal or court.
