RUSH EVENT-SPECIFIC TICKET AND ENTRY CONDITIONS
1. PROMOTER AND CONTRACT. The event is promoted by Box of Surprises (Pty) Ltd trading as Rush Events ("Rush", "we" or "us"). These conditions apply to RUSH: FIRE together with the website Terms, Refunds Policy, House Rules and the ticket details shown before payment.
2. ELIGIBILITY, AGE AND ID. Entry is subject to the advertised age restriction. Every attendee may be required to present an original, valid government-issued photo ID matching the ticket holder details. A ticket does not override licensing, safety, capacity or lawful admission requirements.
3. TICKET USE. Each QR code is unique, revocable after a valid refund or replacement, and normally permits one admission only. Tickets may not be duplicated, fraudulently altered, unlawfully resold or used for unauthorised commercial promotions. Approved transfers must use Rush's official transfer process.
4. PRICE, PAYMENT AND CONFIRMATION. Prices and any disclosed fees are shown before checkout. A booking is confirmed only after successful payment verification and ticket issue. Payment processing may be provided by an independent payment service provider.
5. CANCELLATION BY THE PATRON. Where South African consumer law gives a right to cancel an advance reservation, Rush may charge only a reasonable cancellation charge after considering the timing, nature of the booking, capacity to resell and other lawful factors. The published Refunds Policy explains the request process and cut-off. Nothing in these conditions removes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. EVENT CHANGES, POSTPONEMENT OR CANCELLATION. Reasonable changes to artists, running order, rooms, production, opening times or facilities may be necessary. A material change, postponement or cancellation will be handled under the Refunds Policy and applicable law. Travel, accommodation and third-party costs are not promised unless the law requires otherwise.
7. ENTRY, SEARCHES AND SAFETY. Entry is subject to venue capacity, lawful security screening, bag checks, prohibited-item rules, emergency instructions and reasonable directions from staff. Weapons, illegal substances, dangerous items, violence, harassment, hate speech, intimidation and conduct that threatens safety or the event are prohibited.
8. ALCOHOL AND RESPONSIBLE SERVICE. Alcohol may be supplied only in accordance with applicable licensing conditions and responsible-service requirements. Rush or the venue may refuse service or admission to a person who is intoxicated, underage, disorderly or presents a safety risk.
9. INCLUSIVE CONDUCT. Rush is queer-led and ally-friendly. Discrimination, harassment, unwanted sexual conduct, deliberate misgendering used to intimidate, or abusive behaviour may result in removal and further action. Removal for misconduct does not automatically create a refund entitlement.
10. ACCESSIBILITY AND HEALTH. Patrons should contact support before the event regarding reasonable accessibility arrangements. Attendance at a crowded nightlife event can involve loud sound, lighting effects, alcohol, movement and other ordinary event risks. Follow staff instructions and seek assistance promptly.
11. IMAGES, CCTV AND MEDIA. CCTV may be used for safety, security and incident investigation. Event photography or video may occur. Where required, consent and opt-out arrangements will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the event's published notice.
12. PERSONAL PROPERTY AND LIABILITY. Patrons remain responsible for personal belongings. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rush is not liable for loss caused by a patron's own conduct, unlawful third-party conduct or risks reasonably inherent in attendance. Nothing excludes liability for gross negligence, prohibited conduct or any liability that may not lawfully be limited.
13. PERSONAL INFORMATION. Personal information is processed for account administration, ticketing, payment verification, event operations, safety, support, legal compliance and fraud prevention in accordance with Rush's Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
14. FORCE MAJEURE. Events beyond reasonable control may require operational changes, postponement or cancellation. Rush will apply the published Refunds Policy and applicable consumer law to the circumstances.
15. COMPLAINTS AND SUPPORT. Contact Rush through the published support channel as soon as possible, with the order number and relevant evidence. South African law applies, and nothing prevents a consumer from using a regulator, ombud, tribunal or court where entitled.
